How Wholistic Transformed Our Product Delivery Process at Assurdly

Imagine working on multiple projects with different clients with different workspace preferences from Google workspace to Microsoft to Zoho. Don’t get me started on the project management tools themselves ClickUp, Trello, Jira, Confluence, etc. 

As the project manager, you are expected to be on top of all this, knowing what is happening in each project, monitoring progress, and not allowing anything to derail. It can be a lot, even for a team, not to talk of a person.

This was Assurdly’s reality, and it was clear that traditional project management tools weren’t a good fit without imposing a new way of working on some of our clients. We needed a solution to get our act together. 

Challenges Faced by Assurdly 

As a Product Delivery and QA service provider, Assurdly handles multiple clients and projects simultaneously. So, we needed a tool that went beyond task tracking and required something that could cater to varying needs in our product delivery process.   • Use of multiple tools: Managing projects across various client tools led to inefficiencies and a lack of unified visibility. Thus,  there was a need for a helicopter overview of project artifacts such as documents, reports, etc.

To our team, this solution would be more than a nice to have; it would be core to our productivity and organisational success. 

The Limitations of Traditional Tools

Many traditional tools focus solely on project monitoring and tracking. However, our needs went beyond those, as we needed features that enhanced client visibility to their work, a base to hold project resources in a single view, a consistent report format, and more while being cost-effective. These are some of the limitations of these tools that made them unsuitable for Assurdly.

First, unlike Wholistic, other tools didn’t give clients access to view project data, restricting them from having a holistic view of project resources and communications. This also extended to a lack of holistic view, whereby project artifacts couldn’t be seen in a single view, making it difficult to manage multiple clients in one place. 

The steep learning curve associated with some traditional tools also made it difficult for key stakeholders, such as clients, third-party developers, etc., to use them. Price was another dealbreaker, so we considered a cost-effective alternative that would serve us well without breaking the bank.
