Direct Debit Platform

Collect Recurring Payments Without Chasing Customers

Recurring collections should not depend on reminders, manual transfers, failed card attempts or constant follow-up. Assurdly’s Direct Debit Platform helps eligible businesses create, manage and monitor authorised account-to-account debits from one operating platform.

What It Is

One Application For Mandates, Collections And Operations

Direct Debit Platform is Assurdly’s application for managing authorised account-to-account collections. It helps businesses create mandates, activate customers, schedule debits, monitor transactions, manage collection outcomes and give operations teams visibility into recurring payment activity.

The application can ride on Assurdly’s NIBSS-in-a-Box infrastructure where direct NIBSS connectivity is required. It can also be delivered as a self-hosted deployment, a managed hosted deployment, or through approved partner platforms where the client prefers to access the capability as a SaaS service.

The value is not only that payments can be collected. The value is that the full direct debit operation becomes easier to manage: mandate creation, customer activation, debit scheduling, transaction visibility, partial debits, user roles, approvals, reporting and operational control.

What It Supports

Manage The Direct Debit Lifecycle In One Place

Direct Debit Platform supports the core activities required to operate mandate-based recurring collections.
Mandate Creation and Activation — Create customer mandates, support activation workflows and track mandate status from initiation to active, inactive, expired, rejected or declined.
Scheduled and Recurring Debits — Set up debit schedules based on customer obligations, repayment frequency, billing cycles or agreed collection dates.
Dashboard-Based Operations — Allow authorised users to create mandates, review activity, approve actions, track mandate status and manage collections from an operational dashboard.
API-Based Mandate Management — Embed mandate creation and collection activity into your own loan journey, billing system, customer onboarding flow, partner portal or business application.
Beneficiary and Biller Management — Manage the businesses, recipients, settlement details and collection relationships operating through the platform.
Partial Debit Support — Support collection of an amount lower than the full expected debit where applicable and permitted by the mandate and business rules.
Webhooks and System Integration — Connect direct debit activity to internal systems using APIs, webhooks and configured integration settings.
Transaction Monitoring — Track debit requests, collection outcomes, failed attempts, partial debits and transaction activity from one platform.
Users, Roles and Approvals — Control platform access with user permissions, role-based actions and maker-checker approval flows.
Audit and Operational Visibility — Maintain visibility into actions performed on the platform, helping teams trace who created, approved, updated or managed key activities.

The Hard Way

The Platform Is Only Useful When It Is Ready To Operate

Direct debit is not just about having a mandate and collection tool. The platform must be branded, configured, connected, tested and handed over in a way that allows your team to operate it confidently.

Assurdly supports the practical implementation path around the platform, helping your team move from product setup to a configured, tested and operational direct debit environment.

FAQs

Frequently
Asked Questions

Is Direct Debit platform a product or a service?

It is an application supported by implementation and operating models. Assurdly owns the application, and it can be deployed for your organisation, managed on your behalf or accessed through approved partner platforms depending on your preference and eligibility.

Does it depend on NIBSS-in-a-Box?

Where direct NIBSS connectivity is required, the application can ride on Assurdly’s NIBSS-in-a-Box infrastructure and consume the relevant mandate and debit services. Where a partner platform is used, the direct debit capability may be accessed through that partner’s approved arrangement.

Can the application be self-hosted?

Yes. Eligible institutions that want more control can deploy the application within their own infrastructure, subject to the agreed technical, security and operating requirements.

What do we get at the end?

Depending on scope, you receive access to the Direct Debit application, configured mandate and collection workflows, user roles, API and webhook setup where required, testing support, documentation, handover and operational visibility for recurring collections.

How quickly can we start?

Timelines depend on your participation route, deployment preference, customer data readiness, technical environment and stakeholder availability. The value of the application is that the core mandate and collection infrastructure already exists, reducing the need to build from scratch.
